    Help Needed... Main power flickers off at start up

    When Im starting up my big motor, the power to my electronics shuts off for a second and the units start re-booting. Battery is fulled charged, Everything is wired correctly and has worked well for years.

    Sounds like your battery is getting weak. Being fully charged doesn't necessarily mean it's working as it should.

    This or you need bigger wire, I had 14 and stepped up to 12 and it sold my issues.

    1) Bad battery or

    2) Wiring issue (corrosion/connection/inadequate wire gauge). Resolved by direct wiring of graphs to battery.

    Mine did the same thing even after fully charging the battery. Put in a new battery and problem solved.

    OK a little more detail, how long have you had this set up?
    How old are your batteries?

    If you have been running this set up for a year or two and its just started happing, I would check the battery.
    If you just installed the units and its doing this replace the wiring?

    Have the battery load tested first. Is there a relay in the starting circuit? If so, try replacing it.

    Most fishing electronics will shut off automatically when the voltage drops below a certain level.

    That’s normally my sign to get a new starting battery before it fails and strands me during a tourney.
