Fishing with Tim from Leicester. Started out bad as I left my tackle bag in the garage. Left me with the 5 lures and a bunch of plastics in the boat. So, we hit the first cove heading out and had 7 bass in the first half hour biggest being 3-11. As the day went on we continued to catch some nice smallies. We caught them on senkos, tube, jerk bait and spinnerbait, naturally a Rocky Ledge spinnerbait. So, as the fishing was getting better, disaster hit! Tim was using my baitcaster and it left his hand as he casted. He dove to reach it hitting his rib cage on the gunnel as my rod/reel went to the bottom. After about 20 minutes searching the area, I see my suspended jerkbait about a foot under water. Grabbed the bait and up came my rod/reel! God was looking out for me for sure.
Ended the day with over 20 smallies with a few in the 3lb range and a lot in the 2 lb range.
