    melvern again

I was involved last week/weekend at a family reunion at Me;vern. Part of the festivities were a family fishing contest. There were 9 boats fishing at least some of the time. Fishing was slow but that's not the intent of this message.

the purpose of this text is to inform you that of all the boats fishing - there was not one zebra mussel to be seen. Several people had brought brush up to the boat and not one zebra mussel. So, I guess the blue cats are doing their job - but it seems like they are eating the crappie also.

The crappie that were caught were 12 - 14 inches

Picked up a few this weekend, been allot worse before though. There are allot of them high and dry right now, because of the low water.
