    another battery charging question

I am wondering if charging a battery for a couple hrs a day on a onboard charger with a timer will harm the batteries or shorten the life span.
The reason I'm asking is I store my boat in a storage area which has electric and I don't want to risk the charger or batteries to over heat.

    Thanks

    Dave

Shouldn't be an issue. That being said, as long as the charger is a "smart" charger that won't over charge batteries. Something that goes into maintain mode when they are fully charged. But having batteries being completely charged is what allows them to last longer. This shouldn't hurt a thing with the right charger.

how old is the onbiard charger? It should be fime. If it's a newer charger it should be a smart charger.
