If you are going to fish Winyah Bay, be sure and wear your life jacket at all times, the current there is crazy strong. We were using 6 to 8 ounce pyramid sinkers to keep our baits on bottom. We were targeting Redfish and used fresh cut mullet on fish finder rigs. Now if you are talking about the freshwater fishing in that area, I have no advice as I have never fished it. Much better fishing in the Santee Cooper lakes or the Cooper river.

Start monitoring the river levels and rainfall from the different basins.
