    My 1st birdie

We play a local executive course. 4 par 4s and the rest par 3s. Fun and well maintained. I play from the front tees when my wife plays. Short par 3 about 80 yes I think. SW and it lands right next to the flag. I was thrilled.

Good for you! Golf is a game that can be exciting for all levels of experience. In Monday night league, a 20 something I played with was ecstatic that he had his first ever par chip in. Posted about it on face book even. I shot my best 9 hole score ever. 3 birdies and one bogey. I was prouder of the bogey than the birdies. Dogleg right. Topped my tee shot. Laid out into the middle of the fairway. 150 yards out for 3rd shot. Put it to the right of the green. Chipped up to 5 feet and made the bogey putt. Avoided the dreaded double or triple bogey.

That is a bit of a challenge. As you can see if you go long. Theres water pretty close behind..... I like to try to put it short and then chip up if I have to. Now that I know what club to hit I can hopefully birdie or at least par it from now on.

    Congratulations!

As for the wife playing, that is great. My wife enjoys the game as well. It makes it easier to plan a golf trip when she is included.

Keep working at it and soon you will string a couple of birdies together.
