    2002 Charger 295 with 225 Yamaha OX66 questions

    possibly looking at this boat.
having a hard time finding much on a layout of the boat does any one have pictures of one?

and whats the difference in the 295 195 and all that with the Charger boats?

any ideas on what this boat would run with the 225 Ox66

if it's the one at West Central, it does look good, but that boat is only rated for a 200HP. The 295 is a little wider than the 195. TOC knows of one going on the market I think?

The 296 is an excellent fishing platform. very stable with the trolling motor down and runs real good with a 200. Fished out of a buddy's a few times

Wonder what the insurance would do if you ever needed to file a claim since the boat is over horsepowered. I know some insurance companies do not insurance over horsepowered boats. Just something to think about.

Over rated is illegal in most states and insurance won't touch it.

It might be okay wherever the seller can from to initially get insurance. But if he ever has to file a claim and the insurance company finds out it is over rated then there could be some problems. Again just something to think about as opposed to throwing caution to the wind.
