    Bellaire and Wallon ramps?

Can anyone tell me about the ramps on Wallon and Bellaire? When looking at google maps I can’t seem to find a ramp on Wallon. Re Bellaire, do you have to put in at Bellaire township and go down the river to access the lake? I’m also wondering if I need to buy the pass to launch at any of the ramps on those lakes or Charlevoix? Thanks guys!!

EKYRanger, You'll need to buy permits to use any of the state launches.

MI Recreation Passport is handy for most DNR run ramps as it covers ramp fees (and some other park related daily use type fees). I just ordered mine yesterday - $32 non-resident. I have never had an issue buy likely that some have pay-boxes. Several of the other town-marina ramps have fees...but some are pretty nice too...sort of a get what you pay for deal.

    Good luck.

    YW.

Their might be another launch on the lake, but that is the one that I used a couple of years back. The VRBO we rented was walking distance from it!

The launch in Walloon is a little bit of a pain..You have to launch down a side road then drive across the street to park your truck..Not a real big deal, especially with 2 people..
The one that Hollada posted off of 131 is good but has a little bit of a walk also but there isn't as much traffic to deal with..

The better launch at Walloon is on Gruler Rd. North of the caution light on 131 heading to Petoskey, it's on the North end of the East Arm of the lake.

I tried to buy this online yesterday but it told me7/10 days for delivery. I'm leaving Saturday so that won't work. Can I pay daily if needed or should I purchase the pass when I get there?

I think the launch right in Walloon is a city ramp...So they probably have a box there to pay...I can't remember if the one on Gruler road is a DNR launch or county ....
