Old Terrova vs the new ones

I can't find anywhere else to ask this...but how big off a difference is the GPS actions on the older ones vs new ones?

I had a Terrova before I purchased the newest model Ulterra. Relative to the GPS the Ulterra Spotlock is much more accurate and customizable to your boat's size (they call is Boat SCALE). The new Terrova and Ulterra share the same GPS electronics. I am sure there are other enhancements to the new Terrova vs the old Terrova like the lift assist and more memory for additional saved Tracks and Spotlock locations.

Get the new one. I just finished the upgrade to turn my old one to BT and if I had to do it over I would just got the newer version.

If you have not found out yet, I believe it is $500 to upgrade your old terrova to the Bluetooth model. You get a new head unit and remote. Very simple to do. Just have to weigh the cost vs a new motor.

Not true. It's more that just those two parts. I will be starting a new thread with the breakdown of every parts needed to do this upgrade.

Interesting, just upgraded my ulterra. Contacted MK with my serial number and they sent out the upgrade. I had to replace the top of the motor (head unit?) and sync the new remote. Now I do know it was closer to $700 f you upgraded to the link system but I run Lowrance so no need for that.

Were you able to upgrade the legacy terrova to Bluetooth. minn kota said they didn't have the upgrade kit but I didn't ask if it could be converted.
