    Adams Landing - Verret Side

    Gents,

I fished out of Adams Saturday. There were several trucks there....tourney i guess. It took me a few minutes to realize but the trailer is gone and there is no pay box. Also, grass has not been cut in a long time.

Anyone know what happened? The camp across from the boat ramp was also torn down sometime in the past few months.

Did someone buy that property? Just curious if anyone knows the scoop.

    Thanks,

    J

The property was bought but I hadn't heard yet what the new owner will do with it.

The guy who bought it is definitely developing it. I hear it’s gonna be for trailer parking. He may or may not keep the launch who knows. He doesn’t fish I do know that.

I’m not sure if it’s the same person. He does own quite a bit of real estate though so it’s possible.

The guy that owns the park on 70 next to the spur lives in Donaldsonville. Don't know if its the same person and don't want to post a name here.

I was told it's not the one that owns the park but rather one of his partners in the old halter marine.

The new guys that bought the old halter marine property are going to develop it. If what I'm hearing is true and what they have to do those lots are not going to be cheap, even by today's standards.

Sounds like your kind of place, call him now and reserve one of the prime lots and build you and the bride a nice little 3000 sq foot chalet on the river

I'm not the business owner, You want to loan me the money, I'm broke.

I believe the owner's last name to start with an E.

Maybe they just floated up there, you can do him a favor and drag them out of the way. Of course I'm kidding. From what I understand the landing is and will stay closed.

I sure miss this launch. Walking distance from my camp.. wish the new owner would let me use it .. don’t need to park just launch.
