    Boat Cover Straps Slipping

2009 Legend Alpha 199, the straps on my cover loosen up while diving down the road and the cover gets loose. Anyone have a good fix for that?

Edit: Background on the question, I normally tow without the cover so it’s not an issue, but I’m taking a long trip and going to have a few things in the boat so it will need to be covered for the trip.

First thing is to stop after a few miles and retighten the straps to make up for the cover “getting comfortable”.

Assuming they are nylon straps from the cover to the trailer...
    1. Put a half- or full-twist in the straps - twisted straps won't vibrate as badly as flat straps.
    2. Do what CatFan said.
    3. Take the loose ends of the straps and "tie" them to the taught straps with half-hitches until all the slack ends are contained. Again, no flapping in the breeze helps prevent vibration and loosening.
