    Fuel remaining

I have also posted this question in the Lowrance section:
Hi I have a Suzuki DF175AP which has a Suzuki engine interface cable to existing smis instruments. Even though it gives me fuel flow, fuel used, litres per hour etc. It does not give me fuel remaining. The boat does not have a fuel gauge or sender unit. If I install one of the Lowrance Fuel Data Managers into my NMEA backbone am I correct in saying that I can monitor my fuel remaining by using the HDS gen3 as long as I update the display when ever I fuel up? Also will this cause any conflicts with the existing interface system.

I just purchased a Suzuki 150AP and it came with the multi gauge with fuel management. I also have Lowrance with fuel sensor. It seems like The Suzuki is more accurate. I was also thinking of adding a reg fuel gauge and sending unit. What kind of boat are you running? And what prop are you running.
