Russ, it wasn't on a Lynx, but I had good luck running a 24 Fury 3 on a 250 SHO powered Cat, hole shot was fantastic. It ran 75 easy at 2400 feet above sea level.
With SHO availability low this year there aren’t many Lynx models out yet with Yamaha’s. .

The formal release is coming soon.
For you non- Mercury fans Yamaha is having a big release that is taking us to the "Extreme" the 22nd. A few days after Merc's V-8 release. Wonder what it is? Rumor has it that its a 5.6 liter 300 hp outboard. I saw this on the Yamaha board.
This is input from a very reliable Promo Staffer that we have running this combo in Canada:
Running a 25 SHO Ventless
Haven’t had a chance to hang it long distance to play with jackplate but so far, jack all the way down, 2-250lb guys, Live Wells full, 30 gallons of fuel and moderate gear- best I have seen is 73.6mph @ 5750 rpm
Hole shot is incredible but jack plate needs to be set at 9-11 at hole shot and brought down once the hull crests over.

New to driving basscat so still learning how it handles and still breaking in the motor. First weekend that I was able to open it up. Very little gear and one guy.
Running a 250 sho with a 25 sho ventless
Hole shot amazing
When it starts to chine walk it won't pick up any more speed on average around 73 mph best over 76 mph
Going out again this weekend with a more normal load let you know how it runs
