    Sampling for Asian carp removal on Kentucky Lake this week

    Anglers of Kentucky Lake: KDFWR has partnered with the US Fish and Wildlife Service to conduct sampling for Asian carp removal on Kentucky Lake this week. Sampling efforts include gill nets and hoop nets. Areas to be sampled include Sledd Creek (Tuesday overnight into Wednesday), Jonathan Creek (Wednesday overnight into Thursday), and around New Johnsonville, TN (Thursday night - Friday). If you plan to fish in these areas please be on the lookout for signs and nets in the water. If you are on the water and have an issue with a net please call 270-226-4192. Thank you!

    This week's carp sampling is occurring at sites sampled previously, to allow a comparison.

    I snagged two asian carp last weekend in Barnett bay just for the fun of it. They can strip off some line in a hurry.......... Killed both of them....
