I personally liked the 396. It's a 70mph boat, lots of storage and, in my opinion, a more stable fishing platform than the 496.
the 396 is a good sized boat, still needs some up dates. I test drove the 396 and the 198 back in 06, in my opinion the 396 preform much better.

Thanks for the review Jim. Very interesting, as I have a new 210 Elite ordered, supposed to pick it up next week, so this tells me things to look for in mine. I don't like what I'm hearing on the cooler lid, so I will check that, and maybe have to get small plano boxes or similar to keep smaller items that go in glove box to keep from losing. I have trouble losing things in my current one and its small, a 188 Elite Champ.

What prop are you running? and how many graphs? I'm gonna have 15' and 12' Solix units, and a 9' lowrance, so I'm debating on getting a 5th battery to avoid low voltage issues...

First off Welcome to BBC. Now to the questions:

    What prop. I'm running a 25 Fury 3 blade.

How many graphs. I have 4, twin 9" Lowrance units at the console. A 12" and 7" Carbon at the bow. The 9's and 12 are all Gen 3's. I do have a Point 1 antenna mounted also.

Now a couple of questions for you. What motor? Hydralic jackplate? Which trolling motor? Did you keep the camera? These are just a few, there are so many .
    I got nothin

it's the fancy electronics helping you win, not the boat!

Merc 250 ProXS, 2 stroke, 10" Atlas hydraulic plate, Ultrex 112, I kept the camera but have not played with it yet except in the driveway, thinking I probably won't use it much....

Question for you...what rpm's are you getting and top speed? Only ran my a couple times so far, but only getting 5500 rpm, 71mph and this is with half my tournament gear and no water in wells.

It’s a requirement that all 210 owners must post photos of their boats.
