    Cougar

I'm looking to buy a 07, 08 cougar. Can anyone give info on the ride in rough water. I've actually never been in one.

Most of my go fast friends that rode in my 08 AE described a day of fishing like a Caddy compared to their sports cars. Mind you some of those sports cars are excellent in rough water. The Cougar while being excellent in rough water is plush.

Not only that, but dam few stress cracks as compared to others, handle very good and reasonably fast.
I had a 96 Pantera II with hopped up Xb that had almost no chine walk all the way up to 82 mph gps. I currently have a 03 cougar also no chine walk runs 74 on a good day
My best friend has a 96 Classic never chine walks. They seem to be very easy to get the setup right which makes them a pleasure to drive.
My 03 is in such good shape I am considering a new 250 four stroke for it. I see no reason to replace the boat. I have owned Rangers, Champions as well and driven many others as well.
The best boat in really rough stuff I think was the old Champion Super vees during the 80's. They were not a dry ride though, a lot of spray would blow back on you
Cant beat a Cat when you take all things into consideration in my opinion.
    Thank You Leon Pugh

I've got an 06 Cougar FTD and very impressed how that boat stays on top and just slices right through them swells.

New hull design on the 08 , 06 has the old hull design . Ive got an 08 Cougar FTD , I love it . Just came back from Toledo Bend a few days ago and the wind blew a few days during our trip , my Catillac handled it well . Driver input on ANY boat has a lot to do with how the boat rides but the Cougar rides exceptionally well in my opinion . ( of course I am a lil biased though )
