Repower Help Evinrude G2 Etech Ranger z21

I posted this in the Ranger forum also. I have blown my 2007 Yamaha 250 HPDI for the second time in 2 years. I will not replace another powerhead. Looking to repower and I cannot find a Yammie SHO to put on the back.

My question is, has anyone put a Etech G2 on the back of a Ranger z21? Good results? I have found a Etech with 10 years of factory warranty--very nice to say the least! I know I will have to change out controls, but I cannot wait till 2019 to get back on the water.

Never had a Rude--I know some of the earlier ones had had problems, but have read good things about the new G2.

Any info on this Ranger/Rude set up would be appreciated

I bought my 2015 G2 250HO from Ranger Rodney...great motor. Easy deal. I only got the 5 year warranty. Buy with confidence.

if you do it, you will have a big grin on your face the first time you hammer down.

i ran mine this weekend for the first time - and it was a lot of fun - it also burns 10 gallons per hour less than my old carb motor at wot.
