    Buying vehicle out if state.

    What do you have to do if you buy a vehicle out of the state of KS? Looking at a van in OK and dont need a suprise
    Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

    If I remember right you just have to have the VIN verified by the KHP.

    I was always told county will make you pay sales tax. I not sure if this is true.

    I have purchased a few out of state. Depending on the dealer they will either use your county sales tax or you can pay the sales tax when you tag it. In my county if it's a new vehicle no inspection is needed. If it is used you will have to get vin verified. Sales tax for me was based off the difference from my trade and the new price.
