Okuma SST ultralight series made for trout review

Just wanted to review the Okuma rod I recently picked up for Crappie fishing .

Purchased the 6ft 6 inch SST ultralight series made for trout.

The rod is light and well balanced making it easy to fish with .

Action is perfect for me as it has enough bend to fight fish on light line , with plenty of backbone .

Casting is smooth and precise with little effort even with small 1/32 oz jigs.

Okuma nailed this panfish rod if you ask me .

Did not catch many fish on it yet but this rod is turning out to be my favorite.

Thanks for the review. Im sold on Okuma rods for panfish. I own multiple of the Cellilo ultra lite rod and would put them up to my falcons. You do have to be careful boat or dock flipping a slab though.

I have read your posts about the rods and when I saw them locally decided to check them out .

    Glad I did , thank you !

Was out a couple days ago, ended up getting some nice ones and this rod just performs.

Will take your advice and not flip any slabs .

Glad to hear it. I always recommend the okuma. The only difference I see in it and a higher end is backbone. They make a super light and sensitive rod for sure. Enjoy it!

I bought mine locally at a Field and Stream store to check it out in person.

You may be able to find a better price online .

I have bought all of mine at local shops as well but I’m sure most larger tackle stores will carry them.
