    Fly cement too thick

I've been tying a bunch this winter/spring. Love using Hard As Hull head cement or Helly Hanson nail polish. By the time I get to the second half of the bottle, It has thicken up to be too hard to use. I'm really not too cheap to buy another bottle, I just hate waste. Any experienced tyers have a thinner they have used with success? I'm careful to close the cap between uses but still gets thick. Thank you.

You can thin nail polish with acetone...do it a drop at a time to avoid getting it too thin.

You can, but nail polish thinner as recommended in the link provided above is the correct tool for the job.

Bondic is great. It never hardens until you hit with the UV light. No thinner necessary. Very hard and smooth.

I have Solarez in the thin, thick, and flex. Have used clear cure UV also. Is Bondic like that stuff. Looked at it on the ads but couldn't tell. The UV resins are great. I use them for shaping heads and sealing over eyes.

That will certainly work, as the primary ingredient is acetone.

Yes, Bondic is clear cure UV in a tube with the light at the end of it. The one I have is already 4 years old and still working great.
