    Ox66 oil recommendation

New to the Yamaha side. What oil is preferred for the 2004 vmax ox66? Haven't heard many good things regarding the yamalube.

I used Yamalube exclusively in an OX66 for 7 years, no problems. It's more expensive than generic but I use the manufacturer's products in my outboards.

I have use Pennzoil XLF or prem plus 11 years and have no issues. I run a can of Seafoam they every other tank. Inside of Prop is spotless and never have any carbon in my O2 sensor. Smoked too much on yamalube and fouled the O2 sensor.

Good info. Mine smokes a lot and heard that other oils may burn cleaner.

Amsoil, 17 years worth in a OX66. Mine smokes on start up, my plugs are NOT fouled. I use Amsoil, and Ringfree ---- but I fish a lot of no wake lakes, my O2 sensor and the sniffer tube still needs to be decarbed every year
