Swing head jig hooks

I pour my own swing jigs, but was thinking about how I really like that fastach style that lets you change hooks. Obviously the do-it mold doesnt have this. what are your thougths on pouring these without the hook using a split ring to be able to use different hooks? However due to the line tie on redular ewg hooks, could you use a swimbait type hook with a hitchiker??

You have to be careful because the spit ring may interfere with the hitchhiker on those hooks. So when you attach the hook to the split ring there may not be enough room for the hook to swing too free.
