    Any Johnson/Evinrude guys need XD50?

New motor takes XD100 and I've got about 2.5 gallons of XD50 from the old Johnson in my garage. Bring me a fifth of Jim Beam and they are all yours. Thanks!

It is a 2016 G2 etec 300. Lockeman's was saying XD 100 only. Would I have to set the computer for it to take the XD 50? Do I risk voiding any warranty?

Stick to just running the 100 oil. Much cleaner

Nothing to reset, and no warranty problem with running XD50, but still a better idea to stick with XD100. Not only does it keep your engine cleaner, but in very cold water these engines are more prone to fouling. Ruining a set of spark plugs to run out a couple of gallons of oil isn’t a bargain. Most dealers would trade you out for XD100 (for a small upcharge) if your jugs are clean and unopened.

Thanks, I'm going to stick with XD100 just to be safe. Jugs were bulk refills from Lockeman's, so no returning those.
