New PB Top End - 921 xp / SHO

For those of waiting to see my Croxton worked 25p T1 vs stock 26p Bravo1 xs...sorry, not yet.
I have the Croxton T1 on and went to prefish for BFL on the river. Made a long run...

6088 rpms, water temp 52ish, air 42. She was on rails!
Unbelievably smooth ride, with little to no chine for some reason unknown.

Here's what gets me, everything was set up wrong for speed. Was only out to fish & explore.
    - Yes, my sho is stock, mounted 1 hole from bottom
    - Don't know p2p. Bobs' 12" hydro JP...Highest I ever ran it, one bump down from "choppin" prop blades
    - 1 bump down from full trim

    - I just filled the gas tank on way there cuz I knew I was making a long run.
    - My load was super full for junk fishin. Nothing balanced
    - A LOT of plastics all in front hatch. Prolly 30 lbs
    - 10' blades
    - 3 group 27 Dekas...1 gp 32 Deka for crankin battery. That's how it came new, will change those soon.

HAHA, doesn't that figure. Just points to the thing that all the guys with the faster birds have been saying- SHO needs to be really high to get best performance.

K, just measured the p2p when I made that run. It was...1 13/16" ths.
i'm normally at about 2 1/2" when I'm just cruisin.

that sounds right on for one of Marks props, every prop he works for me runs 1" higher that before I send it

Well, ive had this prop worked a long time ago. I just never really used it cuz I was running other props, plus I didnt want to risk messing it up.
25-t1's were hard to come by then, so it was put up. It's basically brand new. Didnt realize just how good it runs till yesterday.

I really appreciate the effort on the measurement. Thank you

oh they are pretty darn sweet when he gets done with them but I know what you mean about not wanting to mess up, its easy to have a lot tied up in one or a few more...

Thanks....I have a 921 Pro XP/SHO that was one of the first ones to come with a 25-T2. She'll run 75 and change light but really loses lift and porpoises in corners with a load. It has me wondering if my prop is a "Turkey" and needs to be worked or if I need to be looking at something else (Fury 4 blade or Bravo XS) to carry the load better.

My T2-25 wouldn't lift until you had trimmed it all the way up..and I mean all the way..try the Bravo XS..you'll be glad you did..

That time is coming soon. Just had a weather break for me to prefish river a little, now got 2 days to get caught up on my bait orders. Bfl this weekend, then I run a local tx on sunday, then another local tuesday, leaving for St Clair next morning the 9th-12 with a buddy's boat ...THEN maybe I can run the Bravo, weather permitting.

Realized I never replied to you on this, I would think you should do better running light, but since I've run the Bravo1 xs, I have noticed much more lift. Also less chine = less work.
I had a full tank, tons of gear & baits, way more weight than I ever need to carry. That's just how I am. So a light load would never be in my scenario.
You can run that SHO higher than you think. I was at 1 3/4" p2p
I don't know about the Fury 4. Others seem to like it from what I've read.
