Sounds like someone at the brake forgot to figure in the bend allowance. That could easily make a 1/4 difference one way or the other. Wonder how many measuring boards were made on that Monday morning......... ?

Fished my first tourny yesterday in my new bird. Measured on Phoenix board then after a few minutes i told my partner who caught it to double check It with the golden rule that I used with my last boat. It matched. Like others have said, must have been a bad batch.

Mine is good too. I just wish it was longer for other species/big fish.

Mine's good. I was hoping mine was long but I just catch short fish on tourney day.

Your board in your boat is prolly fine. Golden Rule's are the worst boards made and the most inaccurate. No tournaments around here in Texas use them anymore.

You better check any board against the exact one your club uses. I had the same board used at an flw years ago and threw back a fish that short on my board. At weigh in checked my board against theirs and mine was almost a 1/4 in longer. Missed a check and will always check at the meeting.
