    Measuring board

So just a heads up, I had a line burner that barely measured on my Phoenix measuring board that came with the boat. But at the weigh in they used a “Golden Rule” and it was a short fish. We even compared the two and my board was short.

I guess we all should check.

How did the tournament director handle the situation?

It was just a small club tournament but the TD asked me to bring my board over to him and he checked it on mine. He agreed with me that it did cross the line and he ended up giving it to me.

The Phoenix ones also bend easy. One bend can make it inaccurate and once that happens, it’s impossible to get it back to perfect.

The trail I fish has a statement in the rules that says "short fish will be checked on a golden rule". I guess I need to check mine as well since I can't ever seem to cull out that last squeaker on tourney day.

That's good to know because I just paid almost 50 bucks for a new Phoenix board after mine blew out of the boat.

Will this board be thicker than the current factory board?

Mine was actually short, I learned this when I was throwing back keepers on a slot lake. Board ended up being close to a 1/4" short.

You make a 22” board and and a simple mod to that holder I’ll definitely buy one.
