    Heading to Patoka

I'll be going down to Patoka the first of the coming week. I guess I've just not had enough disappointment in my life lately. Anyone know if the fish have moved shallow yet? Or has someone caught both fish and eaten them?

Today was much better. We had our club tournament and won with 5 that went a touch over 17. All in 4 foot or less. We had three other boats have 4 Fish and one of those bags weighed over 16. Lot of nice Fish brought in. Pretty good weigh in for a little 11 boat club tourney.

Weather has been good. Caught a few dinks yesterday. My wife did catch a 10 lb drum! That was a heck of a fight! Lol Heading to the lake in a minute or so. Fish are shallow, at least every boat I've seen has been way up in the shallow stuff. Saw a guy catch a 4-5 pounder Sunday.

And you wonder why I go to Florida and Texas this time of year.

Yep I do understand. We went to Lake Lanier in Georgia the second week of April. Got into some great fishing for a couple of days before the weather got cold and rainy. Those spotted bass are fun to catch down there.

I caught one bass about 13" long. Doubt I'll be heading back down there until the fall. Northern Indiana is calling me. Some good fishing up there.
