    Checking oil level

What’s the best way to accurately check oil in the 250SS. I am assuming level it out and let it sit for a half hour and pull the dipstick. No smart @$$ answers please.

I don't have my motor yet (still waiting for install). I will be buying a service manual for mine, and if you haven't done so, I highly recommend it. Especially if you are going to do your own maintenance. I do not mean this as a smartass answer in any way. I just think that there is a high possibility that there will be more detail in a service manual for routine maintenance than there is in the owner's manual.
