I've never been, but our classic is there in 2 weeks.
So tell me about the stumps and trees.....Are they everywhere. Is there a safe channel to run?

There are no channel markers, so about all you can do is keep an eye on your GPS map to stay in the old river channel. Don't even think about doing more than idling around the area of Coe's Landing.

Sweet!!
Here is a link to an aerial photo of Talquin when it was drawn down back in the 1980s: http://www.tallahasseebassanglers.com/Talquin1983.pdf
It should be of some help.

If you're in the main lake you can see most of the stumps but they are pretty random. If you are out of the main lake, you better slow way down. Wish I could be more helpful, but there isn't any way to tell you where to run.
Thanks.....I think I'll be taking my time
