    Center Hill Veteran's Benefit Tournament

Just a reminder, especially to you fishermen that live within a reasonable drive from middle, TN, that our tournament to support our local veteran's chapter of Project Healing Waters is Saturday May, 5 from 7:00-3:00.

    Center Hill Lake-Ragland Bottom Access
    $50 per fisherman/max 2 per boat.
Paying 1 place per 10 boats
80% Payout and 20% going to Project Healing Waters
    Option $10/fisherman big fish-100% payout

Our goal for this first year is not to make a lot of $ for PHW. Our goal this year is to bring awareness to the needs of our area veterans and to get a good foundation for this tournament that we plan to have every year from here on out.

Hope to see some of you local guys that don't have prior engagements at Ragland on Saturday. Its gonna be a beautiful day. The high pressure system and bluebird skies might change things up, but it will still be a great day for a great cause. I honestly have no idea how many boats we are going to have. I have had 10 tell me that they would be there and I would suspect we to have at least 15 more. There are no other tx on the Hill that day, which should help us out. If we have 20 boats that will be a $1,600 payout to the fisherman. $1,200 to 1st and $400 to 2nd. Not a bad little payday. Not to mention we are paying back 100% of the big fish pot.

We ended up with 11 boats. Obviously not as many as we hoped for, but not bad for our first year. All locals. I think the potential for bad weather might have scared those that planned on driving from around the area. It was perfect weather until the skies opened up about 2:00. Took near 16 lbs. Bigfish was near 5. Good $600 payday to 1st, $200 for 2nd, and $200 for big fish. Go ahead and mark your calendars for the 1st Saturday in May next year. We will have the guaranteed $ next year. We also plan on bringing in vets from all over the area.

Sounds like a good deal, maybe next year you will be able to pull in more boats.
