    Anchoring Cleats

For those who've been thinking of anchor cleats for their boat and didn't wanna come off the 50 bucks plus they are asking for most of the nice the pop-ups.....Here is a solution!!!
Accon Marine in Fla. has these #450 - (4.5" cleats) for 24 bucks apiece!
I just received 4 of them and can assure you they are as good a quality as any out there....very well built!!!

Mine came with the standard old style cleats, do you know if they would be large enough to cover the old holes?

they usually do but if not you can get powdercoated bezels that go under them from places like eddie marine and livorsi. the main issue is getting to the underside of them. one of my old bullets got loose and there was no way possible to get to it- kinda like the passenger grab handle.

Installing the Rear was no problem but on the Front I had to go in through the Troller Well and put them further forward than I really wanted. I also cut some rectangular pieces from the leftover flooring, (which was cut out to install the troller pedal well), and used those to backup the cleats where they would be supported from a larger area than just the big nuts and washers on the cleats.
All is well and they look nice!
BTW: it would be nice if you have Long Skinny arms!!! LOL

You're going to have to cut an access hole in the carpeted rod box outside wall. Drill a hole 1st to check for wires and the depth to the outside hull so you'll know where and how deep things are. The wires will probably be down much lower than where you'll be cutting.
You can leave the hole open, cover it with something or use the piece you cut out to plug the hole when finished by screwing a couple of tabs to it.

I just ordered 4 of these. Kind of hard to find on the website. They are under "scratch and dent" category. $116 with shipping.
