Is the Allen creek ramp accessible in this high water? Wanting to take my 9 year old crappie fishing in that area and would like to stay off the main lake. Thanks

I don't think it is.
no its not open. The dam, Moores Creek, Paynetown, and high water ramp at Cut Right are open.
At least we had 1987....
Is the road going down to it closed?

What would be the closest ramp if i can't put in there? Just hate to run the big lake with him. He is about 70 pounds wet lol
Slim, It might be usable but I am sure the ramp is underwater, but the road going to it is really steep. Moores is probably the closet but you have to shoot across the lake. When do you plan to come down? I might be able to go check it out for you.
Hardin ridge is probably open and the closest to Allen’s.
Not til Derby day. I work in Louisville and get far away on that weekend lol. Done Derby enough..
Travis, i would have used Allen's Creek. Even in 2008 when water was going over the spillway you could still launch there, I did. That's why I asked if the road was closed, that would be the only reason you couldn't use it.
Thanks guys. If you see a yellow boat catching crappie every cast, stop by and say hello....
The new ramp at Fairfax is another option as well when the water is high.
