Tracker 175 txw front live well?

I have a 2014 Tracker 175 txw with the front live well, I'm wondering how hard it would be to remove it and use that area for storage?

If anyone has done this pics would be awesome.

As of right now I use it to store life jackets.

There was someone on this forum that had it taken out and had pictures. Might try the search bar cause it's been awhile since I've seen that post.

This guy did it...title says switch but he actually says he deleted the livewell and turned it to storage...check out this link (disconnecting livewell switch on a tracker.) and shoot him a PM. I'm sure he could answer your questions. Maybe some others are thing about this...maybe you could start a thread with pics to document the process.

Well I’ve had mine, well it’s still out. Peel back the carpet. From the hatch opening. You will find it is riveted down ( the frame that is ). And the whole unit will lift right out. After you unscrew all the fittings from the inside and push them out into the hull. Once out it is much easier to unhook all the hoses. Then plug the transom inlets. Then I recommend using the frame and hatch as it was. But you can install a much larger tub in the space for storage. The livewell is almost 4” off the floor. And 3” all around the sides.

Thought of doing this myself. But I will be putting mine back in.
