    Steez A TW

I never thought anything would replace my metanium mgl reels... Recently I purchased a couple steez a tw and all I can say is I know own all daiwa reels for conventional fishing gear. These are just a joy to fish. I upgraded spool bearings to zpi, added megabass 100mm carbon fiber handles, knobs/bearings, etc... These 2 reels are simply the nicest ive ever owned. They are both paired with megabass destroyer rods and love the combos! Heres a few pics of upgrades:

Most of my reels are from Shimano with the exception of the Zillion TW and the Steez A TW. I have to say the Daiwa Steez is a joy to fish with, I did have an issue with mine. Not sure what happened but oil started leaking out from one of the ports and it was off to Tackle Trap. While she was there I had them super tune and upgraded the bearings to ZPI. Next upgrade might be a bigger handle.

The Steez A is a heck of a reel. It's my favorite in my arsenal.

I have two Steez A and one Metanium MGL, I don't think i would give up one for the other. The Steez A is easier to dial in but the Metanium MGL will cast farther than the Steez A. I need this extra casting distant when I'm shore fishing and need to get to the other side of the river.

Reel porn! Those are beautiful! I like the carbon fiber mega bass handle. Looks nice and useful.

I own all Shimano reels, including one metanium mgl. I kept hearing so much about how great the Daiwa SV reels are so I pulled the trigger on a JDM Steez SV TW in the 8:1 gears. It is a frozen tundra here in Minnesota so I get to stare at it for many months before spring rolls around and I get to try it out. Really looking forward to comparing the two. I will be using it mostly for skipping jigs. Pretty pimp upgrades you made to your Steez reels there!

I don't own a Steez but I've dated a girl from Possum Kingdom 53 years ago. Doubt I'll ever do either now.
