good evening,<br><br>i have a 2005 225 hpdi on sunday it ran fine at first then every time i mad a move it starting cutting back more and more till it would not even get the boat on plane. so i decided to change the plugs. all the plugs looked fine except for this on shown in picture. after the plugs were changed it ran fine. any thought.<br><br>thanks
Appears plug is wet with oil and has carbon buildup. When was last time injectors were cleaned and flow tested? Definitely carbon on the plug and I would assume inside the head too. Have you ever decarbed the motor?
Check spark plug wire and spark for that cylinder, compression check engine warmed up and kill switch removed and throttle plates wide open.
