    Johnson 150 hp prop size?

    I have a 1994 johnson 150hp motor and currently have a 23 pitch prop on it. It runs at about 3800 RPM and goes around 42-44mph now but obviously I want it to get higher. I was wondering what the optimum pitch and diameter would be and if the top speed would go up a significant amount.

    3800 rpm is all you get for max rpms?

    What kind of boat/size/weight, ect. 3800 is way too low. Lugging the motor. Not good. Tell us about your boat/setup.
