    Bent Axle or Bent Spindle

I have a duel axle trailer and the only tire that is facing inner tire wear is the front port side tire. The tire is basically brand new and I have also just replaced the entire wheel hub assembly. Got a quote from Ranger for a brand new axle at under $400.

    Thanks!

    Could be either one.
Might shop around for that axle !!! Trailer parts superstore has some good prices on line.

    Torsion or leaf springs?

With a torsion arm trailer you can just change the trailing arm if the spindle is bent.

Either could be bent. But, what brand of tire s are you running? I had a 2001 R91, dual axle trailer with leaf springs. I had the starboard side front tire wear badly and prematurely. These were Goodyear Marathon China bombs. I replaced that tire with the identical spare tire and it wore evenly. I'd hate to see you spend the $ on ab axle or spindle if it's only a bad tire.

2012 would be a torsion axle. No impossible but it's pretty hard to mess one up. If you did you would know when you did it. You checked the wheel bearing play?

The torsion axles can go wear out. There is a rubberish piece that is inside the end cap that will eventually deteriorate and Waller out and can cause the axle to flex over time. You can easily eliminate the spindle by taking of the tire and making sure there is no play in it and torque it back down to 150 ft lbs. The play will be noticeable.

Since you just replaced the hub, check that area for proper installation.
