    250 Pro XS no smoke?

Do the Pro XS motors not smoke or do I have a problem? I have only fired it up on the garden hose and not let it run long but at this point I'm tempted to throw some oil in the gas. The remote tank has about 3/4 full. And small reserve tank on engine is completely full.

Ok thanks. I'm used to my old Carb and EFI motors my 250XB smokes more than any Ive ever had. I was just worried because there's still some Premium Plus in the tank from previous owner so I thought it would smoke some. Thanks for the quick response.

No I just added the DFI to the tank in the boat. I was under the impression they were compatible and I could just add the DFI on top??

Correct. Mercury/Quicksilver DFI and Mercury/Quicksilver Premium Plus are completely compatible and can be intermixed.

Why would you add DFI oil when it already had been running PP

Because DFI is supposed to be better and is what Mercury recommends. I know you disagree with Mercury on this but it is what they recommend.
