    1999 skeeter ZX195C performance.

I bought a 1999 skeeter ZX195C with a 200hp yamaha ox66 last fall, I have only drivin it 2 short times as it was very cold in November when I bought it. I have a 24p tempest plus prop and a yamaha 25m. The 25 needs some work and the tempest is in great shape. I am wondering what kind of speed I can expect with an average tournament load.

    The boat has:
    Dual power poles
    3 batteries
    Ultrex and bow 360
    3 humminbird helix's

If both props were in great condition what is everyone's experience with speed and hole shot. I can not find a lot of threads this particular model boat as far as performance goes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

that boat has one of the best hull designs ever made. GREAT stability in lots of conditions and plenty fast. The 25m is the standard prop for that motor. Get it worked and you'll see a difference. Try searching for 1997 skeeter, 1998 skeeter, 1999 skeeter in title only and you'll see results. Don't limit yourself to the zx195c. Skeeter also made an 185c and iirc 21 foot option for that year with the same hull design. Congrats on the new boat!

Edit: Those power poles are probably going to weigh you down quite a bit. They weren't available in 1999 so the boat wasn't set up for them. I don't have firsthand experience with that boat and PPs, only read stories. Most say it rides different and you lose a few MPH. Then again you can't catch fish at 65mph anyway.
