    Mattaponi fishing

    Well last year I made a few post about the Mattaponi river. I went out a couple weeks ago and caught about 15 or so between my brother and I and kids. Not to bad. Ok for a river you can cast from one side to the other.

    I also went Sunday and only caught 4 but only fished for a few hours. A couple 2-2.5 lbers a 3 lber and 1 about 5 lbs.

    Great times and only 10 minutes from the house and hardly run the outboard.

    A 5 on the mattaponi is like a 9 in other places...that's a trophy!!!

    I caught 1 5 lb 8 oz last year. Yea I agree a super nice fish on that river.
