    Baked potato

Looking for some other ways to doctor up a potato. We will fry onions and diced mushrooms cooked in butter and pour on the potato,, with French onion chip dip.. Or sometimes just the diced ham or bacon and cheese.
    What is everyones favorite mix

Every now and then we’ll make a “taco” baked potato, take your normal taco favorites and throw it on a baked potato and enjoy.

BBQ baked potato. Pulled pork, cheese, bbq sauce. Chili baked potato. Chili on top with cheese and some onion and some sour cream if you like.

Grilled... Plus all of the mentioned above. I coat mine down in crisco then throw it on a grill until the skins are crisp. You really gotta cook the heck out of it to get the skins crispy but its worth it.

    Melting Potatoes
    Ingredients
2 pounds of Yukon Gold potatoes
    ½ stick unsalted butter, melted
    1 cup chicken broth
    4 garlic cloves, mashed
    Cajun Seasoning.

    Directions

    1. Preheat your oven to 450°F

    1. Slice the potatoes into 1-inch rounds, place them in a large metal baking dish

    1. Toss them in the melted butter and season with seasoning

    1. Bake for 1 hour, flipping once halfway through.

    1. Remove the baking dish from the oven, add the broth and the garlic, and then continue baking until most of the stock has been absorbed, about 15 more minutes.

1 tablespoon of either Velveta or Cheese Whiz just does wonders.

Best baked potatoes are when we camp and cook them in a Crock Pot with a little water.

I get them in a hurry. Microwave about 5 minutes, then turn, microwave another 3. Place potato in baggie with butter pat. Roll around until coated. Remove and sprinkle liberally with Season All. Place in toaster oven on foil until crisp outside, serve, add toppings.

Ha done in Louisiana with butter/ garlic sauce and crawfish tails that was very good. Here at home I rub olive oil and sea salt and bake 425 unwrapped.
