Where is your transducer mounted? Probably bouncing off a part of your boat ie. Jackplate or some part of the hull. Let's see a picture of the LSS transducer location.
John
Looks like you have he range set at 10 ft.and you are at 10 ft. of water. Go out to deeper water (30 ft) and set range to 60 ft and see what it reads like.
Also your contrast is to "hot"....set it to manual, bump it down to 62% and change frequency to 455....

Mounting location looks good.....looks like it's just some settings that need to be adjusted.
Also keep in mind to keep your motor trimmed up some to keep the lower unit from interfering with the side view signal.

Side scan depth you should always use 3 times the depth for best reading, don't use auto. There are a bunch of great videos on YouTube for set ups. Then you just adjust to your best ability
Good luck!
Matt, just a suggestion. I'd change the page view from side X side to horizontal over horizontal. You need to stretch the structure scan out on the HDS7, too compressed when Side by side. Also, on the SS page play with the "surface clarity" low, medium, high, it will clean up the noise in the water column down the middle of SS view. I would "auto hide menu" on the 7. Pages > Settings > Advanced > user interface > turn on "auto hide menu". That will give you a full screen after 15 seconds.

Reset to defaults and start over. Something is obviously very wrong.
Use 455 freq.
As said set range to 3-4 times the depth.
I dont see speed but you must be moving for Si. 3mph or so.
Looks like you have the wrong transducer selected.
Like some other have said, I think you need to adjust your contrast. It says yours is on auto you are probably going to want to be somewhere in the 50-65% range depending on your frequency. Here is a great video by Jacob Wheeler
