Go to the search bar and type seat skin replacement. Should be several good posts with tips.

Get an old flat blade screwdriver and cut a 1/4” deep slot in the tip. This makes a tool to remove the old staples. Get the staple in the slot and twist it out. They used 10k staples when half that would be enough. I used to work in upholstery and that is what we used on staples.

Just helped a professional upholstry guy with a full skin install on a 06/519. Remove old use spray silicone on the foam and interior of the new skin. This makes stretching easier. You will have to make relief cuts to match the original skins. I would recomend a upholstry pro.

My advise. Buy a brand new whole seat from Ranger.
Skins and paying a pro to install them pushes the price of a new one.

Also if you want you can get the VX seats with the head rest and center coin box for the 185VS, IMO, nice upgrade

Thanks Dean, someone had already sent me one for a 2007 bench seat. I got the passenger side on this evening. It wasn’t too hard, difficulty maybe a 5 out of a ten.

i took my seat to the upholstery shop to install it - after i took out 10,000 staples i decided it was too much for me. they charged 175 to do it.

Dean’s extremely detailed report, complete with around 20 full-color pics, is now loaded as the last item in “Ranger maintenance tips and tricks” above.

Well, I got the 2 bottom skins on last night after working 4 nights on them. If your wondering how hard it was, I told my wife in 2 years when the first SS check arrives, I am ordering a new seat from Ranger.
