Minn Kota Ultex ISSUE

Brand New Ultrex not responding to speed control/foot pedal.

Took the new boat out today and planned to test the Ultrex. Programmed the GPS puck to the motor, calibrated and completed the keel calibration. Hand held and spot lock work perfectly. The speed control seems to not be working as the motor operates at full speed anytime the foot pedal is engaged. even if the speed control is in teh off position...

My old Fortrex had a multi position power switch that would set the motor to full speed/on. Does the Ultrex have a mode that I am over looking??

there is a jackrabbit button on remote that puts it in high.

The remote has the rabbit button, however the foot control does not. I tested the unit with the remote not powered to be sure i wasn't overriding something with it being powered/connected.
