    Added some bling....

Decided the new ranger needed a little extra red to match my pin stripes. Pic doesnt do it justice. Ended up over spraying the red with cherry blast glitter bomb in a can to match the flake in the pinstripe. Then over coated with sealer. Almost looks like gelcoat and it matches perfect...

So to do 3 face plates took a total of about 2 hours max. These are the products I used. First I scuffed them up with a scotch Brite pad. Wiped them clean. My plates had no oil residue/ scum etc. If your does consult someone who knows better on cleaning platic. Once clean I hit with bonding primer. Not sure if truly needed but I used it. Then I painted with red color I wanted. Then I oversprayed wit colored glitter. Fyi it is not paint only colored glitter. Then I sealed it. It sparkles like crazy and almost looks like gelcoat. Only thing I noticed is I dI'd a bunch of coats and it made it a little harder to seat plates back perfectly. I would do as few coats as possible to get your results you want.

Looks awesome! Really clean work there. Seems like it should hold up.

FYI, the card cover will come off, maybe you knew that. Not sure if doing them now will look the same, and it still looks great regardless.

For anyone who isn't 100% certain about color, or if they want it permanent, might consider PlastiDip or similar. I used the Duplicolor Custom wrap product from the local auto parts joint to do the same kind of project, came out pretty good. It came to mind because of the same issue with number of coats and getting the frames to fit back, was tight.
