    Overheat alarm

I have a VF250 LA 2014 Yamaha, I have about 50 hours on the engine and yesterday when I lauached the boat after running the engine a short time the engine heat alert came on and the engine shut down to 2000 rpm"s. The nema on my lowrane showed 131 degree of heat, I noticed that the exterior pee hole had no water and the water pressure gauge showed 0 pressure. I think that my water pump impellar is out, what is the temp that the sensor comes on and can anything else be harmed when this happens. I think that for some time the water pressure has been low but the boat has ran and performed realy well. I did not run the engine any more , with the alarm on, when I turned the key off and waited a few minutes I was able to get bak to the dock and use the electric to motor to put on the trailer. what are your thoughts on this, I hope that changing the water pump that all is well.

Bug maybe in your pee hole?
