I used pressure treated pine works good and lasts a long time. I did change to stainless hardware.

Cypress bunks and Monel staples is by-far the best but hard to find. Pressure treated works too but order some Monel staples as the pressure treating chemicals will eat the stainless staples. I bought rubber backed outdoor carpet at Home Depot last time I did mine. It was so much higher quality than anything I could find made for trailers it wasn't funny.

Any interest in going to GatorBaks? No doubt easier to do than carpet and the added expense will be incremental. I upgraded to GB's, used pressure treated and painted the boards black before installing the GatorBaks.
