    N E Texas Fishing Update

I had a chance to go to another big North Texas lake yesterday. Tawakoni was windy, it was just about the same as Fork when it comes to the clarity of the water. I went to the upper stretches and found the muddy conditions as well as down by the main lake areas. Fork's water clarity is getting better though. I drove over there and just checked it out. I did not put the boat in.

Today I visited my local water hole and found it to be very windy and cool on the water. It was 55 to 58 degrees when I arrived, and the wind was constant out of the North West at 15, with a few gusts.

The water was very clean and above 60 degrees just about everywhere. And grasses are everywhere. I got them on a frog bite this morning. I also caught a few on a whopper plopper.

    Here is the best of'm

Tawakoni is always off colored/stained. Its a great lake that gets little pressure during the week. Its a frog guy's dream lake too. I will be there a few days this week. Love that place. Full of fish and always seem a few ready to bite. Lake is in great shape too.

Spent this past Wednesday afternoon through Saturday at Fork. It was tough fishing for sure! Glad you found some willing fish.

I am sure you are not the only one who has had a tough time with Fork this year
