    Also Yamaha's big news is a 900 plus pound 425 hp 5.6 liter cow of an engine. It comes in 25", 30" and 35".

    They have said the V8 will be available in the 250 and 300 Pro XS and Verado. I don't know what differences they are going to have between them.
    They have not yet said what the racing 250R and 300R has unless I have missed it. Is it too much to ask for a V6 3.4 with those numbers and a 7000 limiter?
    It should be lighter that way.

    The V-8 will be available in 200 thru 300 hp. Verado 350 is still a 2. something liter. Looks like the 250 and 300 Verado's are the V-8's. That's weird whats the big gain there? Other than maybe the ability to turn up the boost later. Its still a 600 pound pig though. After more reading the V-8 Verado isn't super charged? But weighs 600 pounds? weird.

    A 300 proxs with 6200 rpm range sounds good if you got a sporty sitting around. Unless there's more surprises coming out of Mercury Racing.

    Just wanted to clarify the weights on models that come with a sporty (I.e., what we would be interested in). The 250R is listed at 520 lbs. The 300R is listed at 512 lbs with the std mid and solid lower mounts and 546 lbs with the heavy duty mid and solid upper and lower mounts. The heavy duty mid is only available on the 300R.
