Mixed numbers flying around
It will be interesting to see what Merc Racing does...and even the regular 250's for that matter. I've owned 4 SHO's and loved all of them.
From what they sent me, we can still order all of the 250 and 300xs engines until July 2nd.
I was just saying all but the Tourque Master 300's are on B/O right now. Hope they just have the date of availability wrong?????
I think an old 350 Chevy V-8 weigh's about 700 lbs. but not sure.
Iron block and headed 350 is bout 570....

Are these new 4 stroke Merc motors the ones I've been seeing on TV commercials? Kinda squared off cowling? Advertised as Mercury's new 4 stroke lineup.

Hasn't the demise of 2-strokes been the talk for years and has yet to happen?

Emissions law are killing them. So it ends up making more economical since to a company to go the 4 stroke route.

Weight and price is the big questions. Not sure mercury cares much about our little slice of the pie. Racing division seems to be focusing on big multi engine boats and regular mercury will supply 225s for bass boats. May leave a big hole that forces folks to look in other directions.
